Relinquish usage
Let's say I hired a freelancer to work on a website. Later in the middle of the work, he told me he could not finish the job and wanted me to find someone else. Can I say my web designer relinquished the job in this case?
I am not sure relinquish is the right word. Please advise.

It's more common to use Duty with a word like Relinquish.You can also use the word Responsibility instead of job.
