Relieve or relief

Dear all,

Please see the following sentences. They are taken from a transfer order which has been issued in my office. I know that Indian English is not a standard one.

"The date of relieve and joining duty should be reported promptly." (Here I feel that the word "relieve" should be corrected as "relief".)

Thank you.
