1. She tries to work hard to earn a lot of money to raise her family, and she also wants to save money to live a relaxing life when she and her husband are old.

- Is this sentence ok to say?

Here is what I think. 1. ---- I have never heard of raise a family but saying she earns a lot of money to make ends meet, to support her family, to get by will be okay.

Here is what I think.

She tries to work hard to earn a lot of money to raise her family, and she also wants to save money to live a relaxing life when she and her husband are old.---- I have never heard of raise a family but saying she earns a lot of money to make ends meet, to support her family, to get by will be okay.

The actual word is to ' provide for ' the family. I think ' become old ' is much better than ' are old ' at the end of the sentence.
