Relative pronoun or Participle

Hello teachers

Please explain whether using present/past participle instead of realtive pronoun is correct or not.

Did you speak to the man wearing the grey jacket? (the man who was wearing a grey jacket)

The lady working behind the counter is very busy. (the lady who is working behind the counter)

I could hear the dog barking. (the dog which was barking)

which one is more appropriate and why I wouldn't call one more appropriate than the other.



I mean do participle reduce redundancy It's slightly fewer words, if that's what you mean.
