Relative Pronoun

If that is placed in the beginning of a sentence, is it still considered a relative pronoun ?

For example: That jacket belongs to my brother.

No. It doesn't "relate" to anything.

I'd call it a demonstrative adjective. It tells which jacket.

See the jacket? Take that to my brother. Now it's a pronoun.

Pronouns usually need antecedents. We need to know what they're "standing in" for.
