Relative Clauses

I became Vice Principal of an F.E. College, from which post I took early retirement some 10 years ago.

What does post mean here?

When are we able to follow 'which' with another noun? For example, this is correct:

I played soccer, during which time I...

But this may not be:

This is the college, in which house I lived for quite some time.

Thank you

For example, this is correct:

I played

Thank you, Clive. Very helpful.

Just to confirm, you would prefer:

I played soccer, during which I...

Or

I played soccer or three years, during which time I...

but not:

I played soccer, during which time I...

Hi,

I prefer I played soccer for three years, during which time I . . .

Thank you. I was just wondering which you preferred as I thought you may think the version you chose was a little redundant or unecessary by including 'time' since which already refers to three years.

No, I prefer the word 'time'.
