Grammar

relative clause

Hello everybody

I have a grammar question . Can you help me?

The bread my mother makes is much better than.............you can buy at the store.

a. that b.which c. those which d.that which

Which one do you choose (a,b,c or d) to best complete the sentence ? Why?

In my opinion, 'd' is the best answer. 'that' refers to the bread. 'Which' is a relative pronoun. However, 'which' can be left out because it is an object pronoun. So, is 'a' (that) also correct?

Thanks

I agree with you. By the way, around here we'd say "what you can buy at the store" and none of the others.
