Relative clause

I read that "which" can refer to the entire sentence in a relative clause, for example "He married my sister, which surprised everyone". This sentence probably means that that he married my sister surprised everyone.
But, are the following sentences correct ?
1. He called me a traitor, which is not true.
2. He accused me of treachery, which is not true.
What is "which" referring to in these sentences ?
