Last month, I was afraid that my university schedule would make me too busy so that I couldn’t visit my Grandma. Therefore my father and I visited her first. Then I started my study at my university.
The sugar concentration in my Grandma blood increased. Therefore she went to see the doctor. He advised her to go in the hospital for better treatment. But she didn’t agree because she worried that all sons and daughters would be busy with their work and she didn’t want to bother them. Another reason was that she didn’t want to lose more money. Therefore she asked the doctor to give her prescription so that she could take some medicines at home.
I felt upset and sorry for her. My aunt is a doctor but she doesn't take care of my Grandma. It reminded me a famous saying:"a mother can raise ten children. But they cannot raise their mother when she is old".
You are right about life in the U.S. It is more stressful than Vietnamese life. I have a brother. He is the son of my seventh uncle. His mother and father divorced three years ago. Therefore he followed his mother family to the U.S. Unfortunately, his mother business went bankrupt, and she couldn’t afford his Community College’s money. Therefore he had to work part-time illegally. He said that the college didn’t allow international students to work part-time. One day he had to walk through a cold way to wash dishes and earned a little money. He got nosebleed because of cold.
Now I don’t have any information from him. I cannot keep in touch with him. His mother doesn’t like him to have any connection with his father family. How is the weather in the U.S? Is it very cold in the winter?
My teacher has a family in the U.S. But he usually comes back to Vietnam to cure his sick. He said “Vietnamese insurance and medical fees are cheaper than in America.
I think living in Vietnam is cheaper and easier then living in the U.S. One year ago, I thought that I had to go to America to study. It was the only way to have good education. I had to come there to learn new technologies. Now I think differently. I have just found some fantastic websites on the Internet. They provide some courses about Chemistry, Physics, Maths, etc. Even several courses are from many famous universities such as Stanford University, Harvard University, MIT University, etc. I live in Vietnam, but I can learn a lesson at a foreign university. It saves more money. It is not matter that I live in the U.S or in Vietnam. The importances are my curiosity and English ability. Whenever I still feel curious about the world, I continue to study. Therefore, I have to maintain my curiosity and improve my English ability. Actually I still wish that I will have a chance to study overseas but it is a long future.
How are you? How is Mrs Sa´u?
How are aunt H and Uncle T? Do they study well?
I look forward to receiving your letter.
