Relationship or relation


Is the word relationship correct here? Shouldn't it be relation?

Secondly, the last sentence doesn't seem to me correct. How would you say this?

My version is: I want our relation be like the one Tom and Jerry has. No matter how much we fight, we........ Couldn't guess this part.

Here's another way to write it.

I want our relationship to be like Tom and Jerry's. No matter how many times we fight, we still remain friends. / we always stay together.
