Relationship between a robin and Robin Hood

Hello~ I'm an EFL learner.

you know, Russell Crow has been featured on Robin Hood, a recent film.

then I wonder suddenly what relationship is between Robin Hood and Robin(bird).

I know it's a very ridiculous question. lol

but please think about it for me~

I've heard one of the most famous family name 'Donald''s origin is correlated to lord, ruler who own and subordinate their land.

i dont think there is any relationships between a bird robin and robin hood. because robin hood is a highley trained archman and swordsman!! so mthere is no relationship between a robin bird and robin hood
