Relationship

Hi, I have this doubt for a long time, I hope it makes sense to any of you...

Can I use the word "relationship" with objetcts or ideas? Or it can only be used with people?

For example, can I say:
the relationship between the story and the activities
the relationship between the students and the teachers

thanks!

I see no reason the term can't be used for inanimate objects.
