related vs relevant

Hi, everyone:

Could you please tell me the difference between "related" and "relevant"? I always use them interchangeably.

For example:

Could you tell me some related information?

Could you tell me some relavant information?

related information - to have some connection with what is being discussed. relevant information - having significant and demonstrable bearing on the matter at hand . For example if you were interested in buying my car and asked me to talk to you about it.
