Rejuvenated and fiery

What is "Rejuvenated" here?

I found an example for "Fiery" I don't understand its literal mean and not sure about its indirect. That seems like a methapor (Sometimes I think that I can leave it the way it as)
fiery red hair

"Only Al Gore, rejuvenated by his fiery opposition to Bush on the war and his celebrated climate
change crusade, seemed to have what it took to make a credible run at Clinton."

Hi Clive, thanks ... would it be correct to understand "Rejuvenated" as Revitalized? Just a though Emotion: smile

Hi,

Yes, in that context.

But the underlying meaning of each word is

rejuvenated - given youth again, based on the Latin word for a youth

revitalized - given life again, given new life, based on the Latin word for life
