Regular Verbs Pronunciation

Hi!

I guess if you can help me with the REGULAR VERBS PRONUNCIATION. I think that there exist some rules about how shall we pronunce regular verbs.

For example:

stopped => As if it ends with |-it|
cried => |-t|

What are the rules?

Thank you!
