"Regret" as a verb (regret doing something Vs regret to do something)

Hi there teachers:

Is there any difference in meaning when 1.) one regrets doing something and when 2). one regrets to do something, please?

For example:

1. She regrets divorcing her ex-husband.

2. She regrets to divorce / to have divorced her ex-husband.

1.1) I regret choosing it as a career.

2.1) I regret to choose / have chosen it as a career.
