Register?enrol exam / event

What are the correct(natural) verb use in this situation.

The British Council holds an IELTS exam regularly. The fee to take the exam is about $300. (enrollment?)

To take the exam, you need the visit the website(or a real reception area) and fill in your personal information, and finally pay the fee.

In this situation:

do you say, 'I will enrol/register the exam tomorrow?' or what?

Is apply only for a job?
