Regardless/nevertheless/still/whatever the circumstances/but no matter what

Hi. Which of the bold-face options would you find more natural in casual everyday American English?

Therapist - So she left you?

Client - Yeah, but it wasn't exactly a happy marriage.

Therapist - Okay. But regardless/nevertheless/still/whatever the circumstances/no matter what, I guess a divorce is always difficult. How did you cope with it?
