Regarding the use of article

Sentence: "Hope you know the leanings of a/the person who attacks Capitalism and neo-liberal policies."

My question: Which article would be grammatically correct to use in this sentence and why ? Can the article a be used in the sentence ?

Regards and thanks Emotion: smile

Both "a" and "the" are possible. More context might help to determine which is preferable. Are you talking about a specific individual or people in general?
