Regarding the topic of a planned trip, can we say “I haven’t gone there yet.”

Hello, everyone!

I heard someone said “ I haven’t gone there yet.”, when his friend asked him about his planned trip. From what I’ve learned before, we say “I’ve never been there.” to talk about places that we haven’t visited before. Thus, I am confused now. My question is : Can we say “I haven’t gone there yet.”, how were talking about a planned trip. Thanks for your help.

Yes. There are several ways to say this.

I've never been there. (most common)
I haven't gone there yet. (not so common)
It will be my / our first time to go there. (Also common)
