Regarding sentence and article use.

Sentence: It is sad to that the people of her native state did not find her the right person to vote for.

Question: Is the sentence correct? Or do I need to use "to be" after "her", and the article "a" before the word "right" in the above sentence?

Thanks

Hi,

if someone says its a loss of face for XYZ (politician or anyone). Can we say: yes it is indeed a loss of face..?

Yes, you can, but a shorter reply is more natural,
eg Yes, it really is.

The concept of 'loss of face' is not as widespread in the West
