regarding past tense

I have one time condition:
someone approached me and is telling to me that something is not mention somewhere. I have to express that no probably you didn't read carefully, it is mentioned there but i didn't have a look i.e. i am just guessing, though i am certain. in that situation is it ok to say,

"I am certain that it would be mentioned there". please give me your suggestions.
