Regarding a use of "s"

Sentence: The banking reforms are good for them. I support it even if it hits my investments in banks.

My question: Does the word "hit" need to have "s" at its end? I'm confuse because there are two "it" in the second part of the sentence. Plus, I guess the word "even"is a modal verb! Therefore, need your help to figure out the right usage. Please help. Emotion: smile

Thanks and regards

CalifJimThere is an inconsistency between banking reforms (more than one) and it (only one). I would change it.
