Regarding a use of past tense

Sentence: 'I didn't know they uses this terminology' also Or 'I wasn't aware they uses this terminology also'

My question: Are both the sentence saying the same thing? Or, does the use of past tense like "didn't" and "wasn't" alters the meaning and the context?

Thanks and regards Smile

I didn't know they use d that terminology. I wasn't aware they use d that terminology. They are both saying basically the same thing.

  • I didn't know they use d that terminology.
  • I wasn't aware they use d that terminology.
  • They are both saying basically the same thing.
  • "wasn't aware" is just a fancier way of saying it.
