Refuse

Hello,

Some verbs like refuse, deny etc suggest negative sense.

I want to know if these verbs are used with negative sentences e.g

I refused that I would not go there.

I deny that I have not done that work.

Not possible. 'I refuse to not do...' is unusual but possible.
