Reformed ( synonym)

if I would like to say that someone is changing their behaviour and become a better person, which of the following verbs correctly used:

1) He is completely reformed after a year of education.

2) He turns over a new leaf after.............................

3) He is mended after.......................

4) He makes amends after......................

which one is correctly and commonly used in daily conversation? any other expressions?
