if I would like to say that someone is changing their behaviour and become a better person, which of the following verbs correctly used:

1) He is completely reformed after a year of education.

2) He turns over a new leaf after.............................

3) He is mended after.......................

4) He makes amends after......................

which one is correctly and commonly used in daily conversation? any other expressions?

1) He is completely reformed after a year of education. -- OK

2) He has turned over a new leaf after..

3) He is mended after....................... -- No.

4) He has made amends after.. -- Has a slightly different meaning. It suggests that he's put right some wrongs that he previously did, rather than just changing as a person.

"He's turned over a new leaf" is fine in everyday conversation. It's a stock expression.

"He's a changed man" / "He's a completely different person" are also possibilities (the context indicating whether it's a good change or a bad one).

"reformed" is also OK in conversation. Rather than the wording of #1, I'd probably say "He's a reformed character..."

Remember that in conversation people almost always use contractions ("he's" rather than "he is" or "he has") unless the contracted word is being emphasised.
