Reflexive or not? Pronouns in a sentence with direct and indirect object

Which of these sentences is correct?

"I placed it (on the ground/table/etc.) in front of myself"

"I placed it in front of me"

anonymous Reflexive or not? Both are OK, but I would use "me", not "myself". However, with the third person there's a difference.

anonymous Reflexive or not?

Both are OK, but I would use "me", not "myself".

However, with the third person there's a difference.

He put it in front of himself. (e.g., Fred put it in front of Fred.)
He put it in front of him. (e.g., Fred put it in front of Tom.)
