Grammar

reflexive

I believe that the following sentences are grammatically incorrect.

I am doing well and how about yourself?

Nobody understood the joke but myself.

Everybody went to the party, including myself.

My corrections would be:

I am doing well and how about you?

Nobody understood the joke but me.

Everybody went to the party, including me.

Are my three corrections correct, and is the first set grammatically incorrect?

Thank you.

Of the three original sentences, the 2nd and 3rd are ungrammatical (your corrections of them are right). The first of the three original sentences is okay in colloquial, informal speech - using "yourself" instead of "you" in this situation makes the sentence sound more friendly and personal and folksy. Your correction of the 1st sentence is right.
