Vocabulary

reflect well on ...

Hi everyone~!

I am wondering what the following sentence possibly means and in what situations it could be used.

Could it be possible as a thanking note to the movie film staff when a person(actor or director or...) win an award?

(In that case, I guess, it means like the award is a result of the staff's efforts.)

If anybody have an idea about them, would you give me a hand?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance!

The sentence is :

This award reflects well on all the staff.
