Reflect off vs reflect on vs is reflected

Can a native speaker tell me which are correct?


I could see myself reflected in his eyes.

I could see the reflection of myself in his eyes.



Are both correct?

I could see the light reflected in his eyes.

His eyes reflected the light.

What does the “is” do? Is it optional? Would you say off or on?
