Hi!
Can someone please help me understand the following?
Which is correct?

I could see the reflection of my self in his eyes.
Are both correct?

What does the “is” do? Is it optional? Would you say off or on?
The light (is) reflected off/on his tooth in the scene.
Which is correct?

The candlelight reflected on his gold wristwatch .

Thanks
I could see the reflection of my self in his eyes. The first one is better. " In the second, the reflexive is not called for (and spelled wrong).

The first one is better. Better still would be "I could see my reflection in his eyes." In the second, the reflexive is not called for (and spelled wrong).
