Redundant acronym term

Hello,
Can anyone tell me what is the term when a person mistakenly repeats the last word in in an acronym following the acronym.
i.e. "the GPS system"
Since GPS stands for Global Positioning System the above phrase would have a redundant word (system, system)

I was watching a show and i heard it refereed as a " Ta-Tagee" (phonetic spelling)
I tried to guess the correct spelling, but I can't and it's driving me mad!
Emotion: smile

btw the show is the latest Dr. Who series, season 4 episode 4 ~ 28 minutes in.

Thanks!
