Redundancy problem?
Dear Friends,
Look at the following:
Similarly to other neo-Gricean conceptions, however, Attardo’s theory has its own drawbacks, too.
I just wonder, whether the "too" in the end is redundancy because of "similarly" in the beginning.

Look at the following:
Similarly to other neo-Gricean conceptions, however, Attardo’s theory has its own drawbacks, too.
I just wonder, whether the "too" in the end is redundancy because of "similarly" in the beginning.

Hi, Clive. Is not it a rather uneven way to say that? "Similarly" and "however" explain some kind of contradiction, don't it? Can I say this way:
Although Attardo's theory refers to other neo-Grecian conceptions, it has its own drawbacks.

eg Like other neo-Grecian conceptions, however, Attardo’s theory has drawbacks.
Is not it a rather uneven way to say that? "Similarly" and "however" explain some kind of contradiction, don't it? Can I say this way:
