Are these sentences OK? Any suggestions are welcome.

[A woman wants to buy a purse worth $100)

A- Why didn't you buy the purse? You liked it so much.
B- Well, I wanted to. That stubborn man wouldn't reduce/drop a dollar from hundred.

B- Well, I wanted to. That stubborn (sales) man wouldn't bargain at all. He wouldn't reduce the price by even a dollar.

Is there any way to mention the original price of the purse?

How about:

He wouldn't reduce the price (from $100) by even a dollar.

Sounds awkward to my non-native ears. Can you please help?
