Redirect loop

Sometimes I get an error when I open a site and it contains the text "redirect loop". I wonder what it means.

I'm not sure if it's a jargon or common English though.

Do you mean that the error message contains the expression "redirect loop"? Do you remember the full text of the message? "redirect loop" sounds to me like page A is trying to redirect you to page B, but page B is trying to redirect you back to page A.
