Red and yellow shirts

Hi. Please help me with this.

When we see the phrase "red and yellow shirts," how could we write more clearly so we can be sure we are writing about both red shirts and yellow shirts, and not shirts with the colors red and yellow on them? I think it is ambiguous as to that.

You can say "red shirts and yellow shirts" to describe shirts entirely of red OR entire of yellow, or you can write "red-and-yellow shirts" to indicate they were two-color shirts.

I think anonymous is looking for another way of describing two opposing groups in Thailand. The red and yellow shirts, you are 100% correct on your reply.
