"recruit for a POSITION/VACANCY"?

Is it more correct to use "position" or "vacancy" in this case?
If I say "are you recruiting for this POSITION still?", will that be correct?

Personally I think "vacancy" is more correct.
But I'm certainly NOT sure. So don't flame me if I was wrong in any way)

Thanks in advance:)
