Vocabulary

reconcile

Hi!

Have I used reconcile correctly? What about the double choice - which is better? Thanks

«I hope to be able to reconcile my phisical surroundings with the system of values I am in favour/I speak for,» says the hero of our story.

Yes, but I'd argue with the verb/s later in the sentence. 'I hope to be able to reconcile my physical surroundings with the system of values I believe in ,' says the hero of our story.
