RECOMMENDING or RECOMMEND

hey,should i say "I AM NOT RECOMMENDING YOU TO GO THERE" or "I AM NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO GO THERE" ?.. which one is correct ? i really appreciate for the cooperation.. looking forward for the reply... thank you..

Neither is correct. The grammar of 'recommend', 'suggest', and a few other verbs is unusual in some ways. You need this:

I do not recommend that you go there.

Note that there is no infinitive "to go" in this formulati

alright, thank you for the explanation.. i do apologize for those capital words. anyway, do you have any recommendation about the grammar checker online that i can use everytime when i'm on the internet ? so that i can check every sentences that i'd say to everyone prior. sorry for my bad english once again.. and thank you so much for the cooperation...

Aside from Jim's advice, I suggest that you pay more attention to the proper capitalization. All sentences start with a capital.

I am not familiar with anything like that. You can probably set your browser to check spelling, though I'm not sure how you do that.

The verb "recommend" is usually followed by a that-clause or a gerund (phrase):

I do not recommend that you go there.
I do not recommend going there.

The most well known names in grammar checking are Grammarly and Ginger. You have to pay for them (I think Ginger has a limited feature version for free), and they are not as good as they claim. They both miss some errors, and sometimes flag things that are correct.

That's interesting. You left out the "s". I usually leave out the "r" in the "str" constuction.
