Recommendation Letter

Hello!!I have to translate a recommendation letter my teacher wrote in Japanese into English, and I'm really struggling with it.I would like you to correct the following letter.I would be very happy if you tell me more proper expressions and give me some advice.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I take great pleasure in recommending XXXXX, for admission to XX program at XXX.In 2014, I had instructed him in a private jazz guitar class held twice a week for a year, and also in a fusion ensemble class held once a week for five months at XXXX Conservatory of Music.
XXXXX is one of the most potential young guitarists I have ever instructed in my whole life, who have a strong passion to music.I had been seeing his sincerity, untiring exertion, and dedicated attitude to music , so I could delight myself all through the classes with him.
He have both communication skills and earnestness. There is an episode which recalls these factors from my memory. When he was in the conservatory, he got a chance to challenge a campus audition. He, who was cooperative, had been practicing very hard with his band members, and they passed the audition successfully. He performed brilliantly as a member of the selected band in the concert held at Billboard Live Osaka. In summary, I give XXXXXX my highest recommendation for admission to XXX. I am wholeheartedly confident that he will succeed.
Sincerely,
