I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for my student, Deepika Sethuraman who wishes to pursue graduate studies at your institution. I have known her for four years as a student of the Department of Biotechnology.

I taught her in the courses “” and “” and found her to be an active student. She had a quick grasp of the material and took part actively in classroom discussions. I have seen her improve steadily over the years as a student, always striving to excel. She is always eager to learn and correct herself; she accepts authority and is, above all, humble.
She like challenges. Her undergraduate degree project is about "Synthesis of heavy metal nanoparticles through biotechnological approach for environmental applications". This project is very challenging because we don’t have solid foundation of alike project work before. It was based on the "cleaner and green synthesis" of biotech product for environmental cleanup. Working on this difficult project, she shows me the confidence, diligence, intelligence and enthusiasm. I truly believe she has strong learning capability and creativity as a researcher which are just two key parts for all professionals who wish to succeed.

Deepika is a very responsible and diligent student, with sufficient motivation to excel in his chosen field. She has a keen urge to understand practical engineering concepts beyond the theoretical, reflecting her potential for research. Besides academics, she has an avid interest in environmental concerns.
