Dear friend, I am submitting a recommendation letter for one of my students who is changing her major from(polymer engineering to bioengineering) for P.h.D.
My question is: What does this question mean? please rank the knowledge of the applicant in subject of proposed area: which one? her knowledge of polymer? or her knowledge of bioengineering?
Thank you so much
teacherpolymeren please rank the knowledge of the applicant in subject of proposed area: I assume that "proposed area" means the subject that the PhD will be in. So if the student is applying for a program in biomedical engineering, that would be their knowledge in medicine, human physiology and the applicable engineering science. D .

By the way,
Hi
'Proposed' means 'the plan for the future'. So, if the student is moving from polymers to bio-engineering, then their knowledge in the proposed subject is their knowledge of bio-engineering
Hope this helps
