Does anybody have any good books to figure out the origin of idiomatic expressions like "turn down", "for good" etc.
Actually I've working on these two recently.

woord=voorgoed&src=NL&des=EN Maybe 'for good' is rooted in Dutch ('voorgoed'). Unfortunately I can't say a book with these kind of origins. Oxford electronic version contains word origins but you are interested in idioms.
