Recollection?

Are these sentences correct? Which verb should I use "would you be able" or "are you able"?

From your recollection, would you be able to remember which doctors you saw and the reason for the visits for the past two years.

From your recollection, are you able to remember which doctors you saw and the reason for the visits for the past two years.

Top answer

You don't need the first part; 'recollection' = 'remember'. Both are OK; or 'can you remember'. The first one is more polite.
