How about this: "When computers were first brought in to Israeli schools some teachers just recoiled, and others were afraid either of the advanced technology or of the possibility that computers might replace them."
I think you can leave out "because of it." I prefer "some teachers" and "others" to "part of the teachers" and "another part." And being replaced by the computers is,
