Recently/Lately in reported speech

Hello,

I've got one more question concerning reported speech.
What happens to "recently" or "lately"? Do they remain unchanged?

"Have you seen any good movies recently/lately?"
She asked me if I had seen any good movies ............."

Thank you

I'm not sure why you ask about 'unchanged'. They might change position to the first part of the sentence if it isn't a question. They could also come just before the verb.

  • Recently, there have been more robberies in our neighborhood.
  • I've just recently learned a new song on the piano.

""Have you seen any good movies recently/lately?"
She asked me if I had seen any good movies recently."

No need to change recently.

To Philip: Some expressions of time and certain other words may change:

Have you seen any good movies this week?
She asked me if
