Hello,

Could you tell me please why it is a mistake to say; 'We have had it(ravioli) for dinner recently.

'We have recently had it for dinner.

Is it because of the placement of the adverb?

I think it's better in indicate the time first like ' We recently have had it for dinner'.

In English, we always do that after the subject like 'I usually...' You always...' We never...'

No. Only if there is no auxiliary verb:

I recently saw it. / I usually do that. / He always says so.

If there is one (or more) auxiliary verb, the adverb of frequency is placed after the first auxiliary.
