(2) I have received the message / I have got the message
Is it any difference between receive/get here? And next, if I want to indicate that I have this message from him yet, let say, I have received it yesterday, is it OK (1). I know about Present Participle grammar, but how about a real dialogue?
Thanks

'Received' is formal; 'got' is informal. If you received a message yesterday, say 'I received it yesterday'.
