Rebuff

Context: The management has refused the employee's suggestion. I am using "rebuff" as the noun below. Is this correct?

"The employee's suggestion got rebuff from the management."

Can we use "rebuff as a noun" this way?

I usually see the verb form. The employee's suggestion was rebuffed by his managers. The noun is possible, like this: The employee make a suggestion to the management, but all he received / got back was a rebuff.
