Could you please tell me if this sentence makes sense?
'There is no reason to believe that if the most prominent politicians and the best poets and novelists graduate from schools of politics and literature respectively, the best philosophers would definitely graduate from schools of philosophy.'

Hi, Could you please tell me if this sentence makes sense? ' I wouldn't call it wrong, but I'd prefer 'because' to 'if'. And I'd remove 'would'.
